The Walls Breathe
Synopsis
Buried in 1918 Louisiana, a dark conspiracy festers; the death of Baron Arnoult leaves the largest estate in the South vacant. When the Baron’s will names Elanor, who has long suspected her late grandfather of having a hand in Benoit’s—the love of her life—untimely death, she must confront a painful past. Returning to her childhood home, Elanor scours the manor for the damning truth about her family’s misdeeds. In the ashes of the Baron’s personal effects, Elanor finds a book that won’t burn. The book is written in an unknown language and hides a hidden note containing a poem, starting with the lines, “The walls breathe.” By reading this poem, Elanor awakens a malignant spirit. Seeking answers she cannot live without, Elanor must face a dark past she can no longer run from.
